Unfortunately, the Toowoomba event has been cancelled due to a change in venue availability. All entry fees have been fully refunded.
The Australian & Oceania Laser Run Championships have been rescheduled and will now be held in Werribee, Victoria, on 8 August 2026, alongside the Global Laser Run City Tour.
Further event details and entry information will be released shortly.
Athletes who nominated for selection to the UIPM Biathle, Triathle and Laser Run World Championships will be contacted separately regarding updated selection criteria.

2026 Biathle, Triathle & Laser Run – Australian and Oceania Championships 📅 Dates: 11–12 July 2026 📍 Location: The Glennie School, Toowoomba, QLD
Modern Pentathlon Australia is excited to announce the 2026 Biathle, Triathle and Laser Run Australian and Oceania Championships, taking place at the beautiful Glennie School in Toowoomba, Queensland.
This action-packed weekend will bring together athletes from across Australia and Oceania to compete in some of the most fast-paced and accessible formats of modern pentathlon.
The biathle (swim + run) and triathle (swim + laser run) events will be conducted using a non-continuous format (i.e. swim separate to run/laser run).
Race Distances:
You can enter multiple events but you will only be required to do each individual discipline once. Your score for each event will be calculated by combining the discipline points relevant to the event - refer to the table below:
Ticket options:
You can enter the Australian Championships, the Oceania Championships or both (discount applies if you enter both events as a package). When you purchase a ticket, you will be asked to nominate which age category you wish to compete in. If you want to compete in multiple age categories, you must purchase a separate ticket for each age category.
IMPORTANT: Membership requirements
Modern Pentathlon Australia and its State Associations offer a range of membership categories.
Trialist memberships are available for as little as $10 for 3 months and are designed to encourage participation for people new to the sport. Trialist members are not eligible to medal in national or regional championship events. You are only eligible to be a trialist member once. To upgrade from a trialist membership, contact your State Association or MPA.
Full athlete membership covers you for 12 months and ensures you are eligible for medals and Championship titles in Australian and Oceania Championship events.

If you are not already an MPA member, please register as a 'Stay In Touch' member to access this ticket.
By volunteering for at least one hour on the day, you will receive a $10 discount code which can be applied against event entries in the Australian Pentathlon Championships in November 2026 (for you, your child or someone else you nominate).
