Kitty Chiller Awarded Australian Olympic Committee Life Membership

Kitty Chiller has been awarded Life Membership of the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC), recognising her exceptional and enduring contribution to the Olympic Movement and sport in Australia.

The honour was confirmed at the AOC Annual General Meeting on 2 May 2026, placing Chiller among a select group of individuals who have made a lasting impact on Olympic sport in this country.

A trailblazer both in competition and in leadership, Chiller represented Australia at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, following a decorated career that saw her rise to world number one in modern pentathlon and achieve multiple World Cup podium finishes.

Following her athletic career, Chiller has continued to shape the sport at the highest levels. She made history as the first female Chef de Mission for the Australian Olympic Team at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, leading the team with distinction on the world stage.

Chiller has also played a pivotal role in the global development of modern pentathlon, currently serving as First Vice President of the Union Internationale de Pentathlon Moderne (UIPM). Her leadership continues to influence the evolution of the sport worldwide.
