Modern Pentathlon Australia Announces New Board of Directors
Modern Pentathlon Australia (MPA) has announced the appointment of a new Board of Directors following recent appointments and elections.
The new Board comprises appointed directors Susanne Gliddon, Andrew Howie and Hannah McLean, together with continuing appointed director Lyle Dahms, and elected directors Tony Ashton, Nicole Greenwood, Craig Roberts, Ally Duncan and Mark Unwin.
Collectively, the Board brings a broad range of expertise across strategy, governance, integrity, finance, high performance, marketing, sponsorship and participation, along with significant experience leading organisations through periods of growth, structural change and integration.
In accordance with the MPA Constitution, the Board will elect a Chair from among its members at its next meeting.
Continuing appointed director Lyle Dahms welcomed the appointments and the breadth of skills represented across the new Board.
“This is an important step for Modern Pentathlon Australia, bringing together a diverse and capable Board with a shared focus on renewal, reinvention and strengthening the sport’s future. The depth of experience across governance, performance and growth areas will support MPA as it navigates change and builds capability across the organisation.”
Modern Pentathlon Australia also acknowledged the significant contribution of outgoing directors Maki Takken, Nicole Nicholls and Ashlee Uren, who have served the organisation over the past four years and played an important role in guiding the sport through a period of transformation.
Ms Takken will continue to support the organisation in a governance capacity as Company Secretary, providing continuity and valuable organisational knowledge to assist the incoming Board.
MPA looks forward to working with the new Board as the organisation continues to grow participation, strengthen pathways, and position the sport for future success in Australia.
