Odgers Battles Strong Field at Budapest World Cup

Australia’s Nicholas Odgers has completed his qualification campaign at the UIPM 2026 Pentathlon World Cup in Budapest, Hungary, finishing 31st in Qualification A with a total score of 1319 points.

Competing in one of the strongest qualification fields of the season, Odgers produced a solid all-round performance against a world-class lineup of athletes from across the globe. The Budapest World Cup attracted competitors from 40 nations, highlighting the depth and quality of the international field.

Odgers opened his campaign with a strong fencing performance, recording 13 victories to score 190 points. He followed with a determined obstacle race, completing the course in 39.42 seconds for 327 points.

In the pool, Odgers delivered one of his strongest performances of the day, clocking 1:00.73 for 297 points before finishing with a laser run time of 13:15.28 to add 505 points to his total.
